In light of the comment Pat Robertson made about the earthquake and Haiti’s pact with the devil I had a vision, of-sorts.
If you have ever seen Lord of the Rings you will remember when Gandalf stood on the bridge inside Moria with the demon of the ancient world, and he said, “you shall not pass!” In that moment his stick broke the bridge and the demon fell. Can you see the scene?
Let me begin by saying; I believe that the character of God is at all times Love, and everything He does is because He is love.
Therefore, what if the earthquake was a result of the strike against the devil? “You shall not pass!”
Acts 16:26 Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s bonds were loosened.
Think for a moment that now the spotlight is on Hatti and Christians from all over the world are coming there to help re-build their lives, their homes, and their freedom. What a scene that would have been in the unseen world, God declaring Haiti His, and Satan can go no farther. WOW!
Was the earthquake an evil act or a result of this freedom? The earth shook when Jesus died and the earth shook when he rose again. I for one would never give up those earthquakes to never have had Jesus die and raise 3 days later. Would you?
Matthew 27:54 Now the centurion, and those who were with him watching Jesus, when they saw the earthquake, and the things that were done, feared exceedingly, saying, “Truly this was the Son of God.”
Matthew 28:2 Behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from the sky, and came and rolled away the stone from the door, and sat on it.
We have no idea what went on behind the scenes, but we can always know that God is good, and in Him there is no evil. I believe He is there and He has counted the lost, and bottled every tear that has and will be shed.
As a Christian my prayer is that there are many there on the ground being His hands and feet.
