Regarding time management;
I have never considered myself an disorganized person until I became my husbands fiance. When I was planning our wedding I really did not give the idea of time management a thought, so when asked by his family the details of the wedding planning I rarely had an answer. Needless to say they were never really happy about not knowing, and over the years I have realized that life can’t just happen you have to make it happen. Thanks to his family I began to notice how other people live with plans, and calenders. Adding children to our life has given me even more appreciation for managing our time, and recently with the idea of homeschooling I am once again reviewing how I handle time.
Currently my day looks like this:
6:00am Alarm goes off and I push snooze for the next 30 minutes
6:35am Coffee pot goes off with a huge jet engine noise. I’m awake now.
7:00am Dressed in workout closes all the way down to tennise shoes
7:30am J wake us (demanding breakfast) L wakes us after him
8:00am Breakfast for everyone
8:20am Take J to preschool
9:00am Workout while L is playing under my feet our outside
10:00am Clean up
11:20am Go to pick J up from preschool
12:00pm Lunch for everyone
1:00pm Naps for both kids and mom cleans house
2:00pm Glenn Beck on Fox News
3:30pm Kids wake up
6:30pm Bath, PJ’s story
7:00pm Bed time for kids
I use the rest of the night to play on the computer, clean the house, and I go to bed by 10pm.
Whew!! I’m ready for a nap.:)
My desire to change this is due largely to the fact both kids are getting older and hanging out is causing fighting between them and me. I think my biggest hurdle to jump right now is when I workout. I want more then anything to have worked out prior to anyone waking up and then I can feel like “my time” is not going to interfere with everyone’s life. Then at 9am when I come home L and I can have quality time together. I will keep you posted on this as time does go by.
