2011-2012 Curriculum
Lets just say it right up front that I am a planner. I like to know what I am doing at least a month in advance, which I know to many of you that makes you sick to your stomach, and others you fully understand. I always leave room for emergencies, play dates, and sick days, but for the most part I know what I am doing next month at this time. So with that being said I have figured out our curriculum for this Fall.
J our oldest and school age child will be in the first grade, so he’s curriculum will be;
- Classical Conversations will be our main curriculum which encompasses the memory work for timeline, History, science, art, English literature, Latin, and Math facts.
- Math: Saxon 1
- Phonics: Explode the Code 1, 2, 2 1/2
- Primary Reading: Storytime Treasures from Memoria Press
- He is also enrolled in a Charter school this fall to help off-set some cost to math and math manipulative along with other reading books. I am hopeful to have some structure to my day and a “need” to get something done. My attitude is such that I’ll put school off school for any reason, so its good to have some guidelines.
Our littlest L will be returning to the Adult Education/Playschool Co-op and will listen to all J’s memory work too.
Both children and myself attend a local C.B.S. (community bible study) where we get our “tanks” filled for the week.
I am still a Pampered Chef Consultant, however I have no time for home parties and will try to keep my sales with online purchases and those customers who have no where else to go. I am very excited about my Beachbody Coaching business, and I’ll be focusing on that this year, so if you are interested in getting into shape both physically and financially send me a message.

As a Classical Homeschooling mom of two I have no idea where I find the time to be here, but I love this blog and like me it changes in appearance a lot, but the core stays the same. I adore my life and wouldn't change one crazy day of it.
