My thanksgiving journal is open.
7:33am my kids bound out of their rooms declaring the dogs had awoken them. Yeah right! I heard them as early at 6:30am, but good morning just the same.
7:35am Lydia opens her backpack for something and Joshua sticks his hand in, grabs an article that he is sure is his, Lydia screams at the audacity of this move from her brother.
7:37am Joshua gives dogs a treat and Lucy immediately throws is up.
7:40am I am try to practice thanksgiving, but how can I be thankful here? I look up to the heavens and declare this is the Lords Day and I will glad. His grace is sufficient for me right now as it is for the whole day. He does not leave me alone in the mess of this morning. I practice giving thanks because I want to hold on to Jesus and believe that a miracle will follow. I didn’t blow my top at 7:37am. Praise God!
7:46am My breath has returned slower and the black cloud that was beginning to take shape over this morning has moved on. God is always good and I am always loved.
