This is so wrong….No Christmas music in a shopping mall, no Merry Christmas from fellow people, no Christmas tree at school (its a “holiday tree”), and all the while we are encouraged to buy buy buy. Why do we give gifts if we don’t include Christ in Christmas? What is going on????
I believe the majority of people like Christmas and the traditions surrounding it. Including the story of Jesus in a manger. I think most churches get high attendance on Christmas eve, because most people believe there is a bigger reason for the season. So will someone please explain to me how we have gone from singing Christmas carols door to door, to being afraid we will offend someone to say Merry Christmas?
We are in America, and as American’s we value certain traditions, values. Someone out there is deciding that we should tolerate everything, well I don’t agree. This country was founded on God and in Him we celebrate Christmas, so if we want to take God out of the equation as a country then I believe you’ll have to give Christians back Christmas. No more commercials trying to sell us everything under the sun, no more!
Some would like to say were being political correct, however if we went to another country I would expect to learn and follow the traditions of that country. If women wear dresses I too would wear a dress, but people are here in America and no one wants to admit or declare that we too have traditions. We as a nation have celebrated Christmas with Christ. If you did not then you did not it was not a huge scene. But now everyone has to be considered, and every religion has to be included.
I am deeply saddened by this, and I want something to be done to stop the madness. Taking Christ out of Christmas is tragic.
